This campground, which is open all year, gives visitors access to a protected wilderness area within the city limits of Auburn. The camping area is intended for recreational vehicles, trailers, and tents. There are water and electricity connections at each of the 18 individual campsites as well as picnic tables and a fire pit. A shared picnic shelter and an RVDP terminal are available. Day group activities such as scouting, church, or other group activities are perfect in this part of the park.
The appeal of The Game Farm Wilderness Park is its connection to the natural environment! It has minimal construction and most of the indigenous woodlands along the White River have been preserved. The trail continues on the north side of the park beyond Kersey Way, leading across the river to the east end. Both overnight and day visitors are catered to in this park. Each unit includes water and power hookups, as well as a group camping area that can accommodate recreational vehicles.
Take Hwy 18 East to get from I-5 or Hwy 167 to Hwy 18, which will take you south. Take the Auburn-Enumclaw exit off Highway 18. Turn left at the end of the ramp onto Auburn Way South. Continue south on Auburn Way. At the junction of ‘M’ Street, be in the right-hand lane to continue on Howard Road. After going a short distance along Howard Road, turn right and head west on SE ‘R’ St.’ Take Route 10 north to Route 55 and then west over the river. Turn left at the junction of Stuck River Road (just after passing through Conowingo Dam). The park is on your left. The picnic shelter is at the end of the park road, which branches off to the left. To the right, as you enter the park, there is an RV camping location to your right.)
The Wilderness Park is intended to appear more natural, keeping some of the surrounding woodlands. The White River Trail, which runs through the park and ends at the east end, is one of the park’s most important features. A campground with unique characteristics for being within city limits is also available at Game Farm Wilderness Park. The most common sites are for recreational vehicles, but tent camping is permissible. A Day Camp area is available for parties where events may be hosted. Short trails in the region include an 18-hole Disc Golf Course. Other Game Farm Wilderness Park Features include a children’s play area, picnic shelter, open-air space, restrooms, and fishing.
This is a great place to set up camp for a weekend or just a relaxing location for a day trip!
