Bellevue Downtown Park

The park is a great place to hang out with the family! The 640-acre Eastside Park and Promenade is a popular gathering spot for residents of Bellevue, Lakewood, Seattle, Brier, and Lynnwood. The main attraction of the park is its towering waterfall that tumbles over a reflecting pool into a basin. A lovely park with a picnic destination at your fingertips, Bellevue’s skyline, and Mount Rainier in the background. The appealing play area and formal gardens provide family fun while also serving as a backdrop for neighborhood gatherings.

There is even a playground for children to enjoy. The Inspiration Playground’s interactive features, such as the smell of flowers or the gentle sound of water, engage the senses and create inclusiveness. The water feature is open for the season from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day until Labor Day. The Bellevue Rotary Club played a significant role in adding an innovative play area to the park’s original playground, allowing children of all ages and skill levels to play and explore at their leisure.

The park also features a lighted basketball court, an off-leash dog area, and a spray ground. The spray ground is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day until Labor Day. Bellevue’s first skatepark is located adjacent to the Eastside Park & Promenade, offering a skateboarding paradise!

The City of Saint Paul maintains two parking lots for the Downtown Park, and both are free. Both are close to the Inspiration Playground. The main lot is on 100th Avenue NE and has an entrance on 100th between NE 4th Street and NE 1st Street. The secondary lot is located on Northeast 1st Street near the junction of Northeast 1st and 100th avenues. This parking lot is immediately adjacent to the playground.

Did you know Downtown Park has over 140 Park benches? Many of which have been donated through the Donation Bench Program. Due to the program’s popularity and the abundance of benches at the park, they have discontinued the Donation Bench Program at the Downtown Park, so they are no longer accepting applications.

This is the perfect place to make a stop on your way through Bellevue, Washington, and the whole family will enjoy their time!
